Part of Michael's Legacy

In the midst of unimaginable loss, there are sometimes moments that feel quietly profound - reminders that a life, and the impact of that life, doesn’t end in one moment.
Before his passing, Michael Brandwood made the decision to register as an organ donor. It’s a choice that speaks to who he was; thoughtful, generous, and someone who gave of himself in ways that continue to matter.
In time, his family began receiving letters. Messages from people whose lives were changed because of that decision. Words of gratitude from individuals and families who, in their own difficult moments, were given another chance, more time, more milestones, more life.
These letters hold both gratitude and grief, hope and heartbreak, all existing side by side. For those who receive them, and for those who read them, they are a powerful reminder of how connected we all are, even in circumstances we would never choose.
It’s a quiet kind of legacy - one that lives on in others, in moments we may never fully see, and in the knowledge that even in the hardest of circumstances, something good can still reach outward. A small but powerful reminder of connection, compassion, and the lasting impact one person can have. 💛
