About the Event
The Power is in the Grip is an annual charity golf tournament created in honour of Michael Brandwood, bringing people together to raise awareness around suicide, support suicide survivors, and remind our community that no one fights alone.
Hosted at Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club, the day includes 18 holes of golf for players of all skill levels, along with a variety of lighthearted on-course activities . Whether you attend as a golfer (all skill levels welcome!), a dinner guest, a sponsor, or a volunteer, your involvement helps fund mental health awareness and local initiatives that support survivors of suicide. ⛳💛

The Power is in the Grip is designed for players of all abilities and skill levels. Competitive spirit is welcome - but connection, laughter, and community matter far more than your scorecard. From closest-to-the-pin and putting challenges to team recognitions for the “first” and the “last,” there’s something fun waiting at every hole. Dinner is included in the ticket price.
